I came across this great idea on Pinterest the other day & just had to share it. When planning your seating chart use small sticky notes so you can easily move people around while you get it all figured out. In this picture they used different colors for each guest depending on their relationship to the bride & groom (Friends, Family, Coworkers, etc). This could be a great way to make sure the tables are well balanced to ensure guest have a great time at your reception.

This is probably the first thing EVERYONE will ask you after congratulating you on your engagement. However, choosing a wedding date can be a bigger decision that you originally thought. Unless you have a symbolic date or a meaningful date in mind, chances are you will need to put more thought into it than you may have imagined.

Just a few things to consider…

• What time of the year do you want to be married? Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter?
• Where do you want to get married… That could influence the time of the year you should get married.
• Do you have a specific venue in mind? If so, how far in advance to people start booking wedding there. You should make sure the venue is available before selecting a date.
• If you have guest that need to travel from out of town, will that be a convenient time for travel? This isn’t necessarily the most important factor, but if there are important family members or friends you just have to have in attendance, you should consider asking them about important upcoming dates.
